This call shared common characteristics and unique needs of transition-aged youth and young adults involved in the justice system and the benefits to them in effective career/technical education. Presenters gave an overview of the national landscape of career/technical training in justice systems, including a reentry model for supporting education and career advancement, evidence-based and promising practices for reducing recidivism and promoting job readiness, and issues of employability. Participants discussed career/technical programs in their States.
